Regional Account Executive – Legal: IP Subject Matter Expert
Our client, a division of an International multi-billion public company, is the worldwide leader in the legal vertical. This is an opportunity to be part of an exciting new sales team offering leading edge tools to both Corporate Law offices as well as Law Firms with 5 or more attorneys doing Intellectual Property (Patent as opposed to Trademark or Copyright) work. No vertical or horizontal restrictions, you will own the IP business on BOTH the corporate and law-firm sides in your protected territory. Working from your home office you will cover Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Northern California.
The technology running your solutions blows the competition out of the water. Your repertoire will include Research and Retrieval tools, Workflow Products and related services that allow the Patent lawyers to keep their fingers on the pulse of IP law globally. On top of the current state of the art tools that you currently have in your toolbox, you’ll be part of a national sales and marketing team that will launch and exciting new product in to the market. Join the team that will be making a major push into the IP space with leading edge products and services.
Requirements
You must have
- 10+ years consultative sales/account management experience selling intangibles plus 5 years of experience selling in to the legal departments of corporations and in to law firms.
- You are a true new business hunter, whose ego is tied to your productivity.
- Document-able track record of being a consistent over-achiever.
- Track record of being s great team player. Account Execs in your region will bring you in as the IP Subject Matter Expert for their clients.
- Track record of generating at least 50% of your own sales activity.
- The desire and ability to help build a new division within a major corporation. This is a new start-up division of a multi-billion dollar public company.
- Experience selling an IP product or service strongly preferred. Minimally you must have an understanding of how to sell IP services
In exchange for your meeting these criteria you’ll get a competitive base salary to $80,000+ plus uncapped commissions with first year’s total compensation at 100% of plan of $130,000.00 Second year earnings potential eclipses $200,000.00.
